The group’s infrastructure includes a range of equipment and components for fiber optics experiments, as below:

• Optical Spectrum Analyzers
• Pulse Pattern Generator and BER tester
• Vector Signal Generators and RF Spectrum Analyzers
• Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers
• Mach-Zehnder Modulators and Electro-Absorption Modulators
• Optical Receivers

In addition, a range of components is available for free-space optics, including digital holography (4.5 micron pitch phase SLM).

The infrastructure is complemented by several high-end XEON workstations with software tools for optical and RF simulations.
